Turning trouble

Just finished up rebuilding a custom build that had a small fire. The problem I have is it seems to turn better to the left than it does the right (insert NASCAR joke here). But seriously I have never seen one that turns so easy one way and you practically have to fight it the other.

check that your rear axle is true. if adjustment is off one side vs. the other, this can happen. don't go by adjustment screws left vs. right; go by laser, or line, or i've even heard long fluorescent bulbs work.

It’s most likely the nature of the beast. Builders offset the drivetrain to get clearance for the big tires. This makes them unbalanced and the bigger the tire the worse they are. Eventually newer builds used a right side drive transmission to allow a bigger tire with no offset to make them handle better.
