Selling the Shovel

This thing is just sitting so I am going to sell it. How much do you think an old Shovelhead like this would be worth? 1975 ..80ci..(In the picture) ....I would like as much
input as possible...Not a good highway bike, but a blast to ride around the neighborhood, and a head turner..also a hit at the bike shows, as long as they have a rat division.....I also have a boat load of Shovelhead parts for sale...a friend of mine who had a stroke..now permanently in a nursing home...cases..pistons ..rods..etc..
I f someone is interested I can get a parts list together..

Because of your rear wheel and paint, a lot of people might over look it. Its a very clean bike and shows how much love you put into it. I would ask 10k and maybe let it go for 7500 (Maybe) but let them "Talk" you down. Redwings is selling the rigid he just build as well. Figure out your price add 1.5 so they can talk you down to your price.

Thanks Spade, I am pretty sure it is not worth anything near that price..looking on ebay I see old Shovelhead engines and transmissions going from between $2500 ..$3000..I don't think the rest of the bike would be worth anything to people since every thing is home made..I think if I get $3000 ..I would be doing good....Seems like more, since they are getting harder to find, but I guess everyone is looking for something dependable rather than something that is nostalgic..I think I will put it on ebay for higher price and try to get an Idea as far as price.

If you was in the UK I'd buy it off ya..
I love hard tails, shovels and wide rear tyres.
Prob be worth a few quid over here.

I stopped looking at buying one a few years ago cos i cant afford another bike, and i dont got the room in the garage. I can dream tho...

Good luck with selling it and I hope whoever is lucky enough to be the new owner looks after it

wow-wee
had three customs five years ago, over that time I've liquidated all but one and took a good ass whipping doing it. peeps who want custom bikes, want what they design not other peoples dreams.

you make more money when it gets wrecked or stolen from the insurance than selling it.
spade said it right let they feel like they cut a good deal by letting them talk you down.

but the one who does buy it won't be a snowflake
