2 into 1 exhausted blueing at connection

Always seen bluing at the port,but not way down a pipe. What causes this? Too rich or too lean?

the smoother your exhaust flow, the less this will happen. hot exhaust gasses swirling around rather than flowing out dump more heat into pipe per square inch. this is not unusual for the collector portion of a 2-1. the interaction of exhaust pulses from two headers will always have some turbulence. getting these two pulses to work together, to alternatively slip by one another and help pull each other through, is the science and art of exhaust tuning.

Rich = Fuel to cook.
Lean = Glows orange as if turning off the acetylenef and the oxygen stayed on.

Old Honda CB750 trick = Pipe within a pipe. You can't see the blue.

Bottom line = Normal.
