Another twin cam question

Are all of the trannys on a HD twin cams mounted directly to the back of the engine block?

yes but all the internals of the 5 speeds will transfer over to a EVO style case. I think you need to buy the new style shift pawl adjusting screw is the only thing you need to replace besides MDG bearing which gets damages when yo press the mainstahft out of it
