Dynaglide intermittent lock up

Hi guys, havent posted on here in ages but have problem with my bike.
04 Dyna wideglide twincam.

Story.

Rode out 50 miles or so with no problem, stopped for coffee for a couple of hours then went to set off on bike. Bike started but when put into gear to pull away it seemed locked, so backed it up and it locked again, i pushed it forward a little then locked and free`d up. I initially thought the belt had crowded or something lodged in the pulley. all was clear and bike pulled away, I could hear something wasnt right via a noise from left lower side of bike so pulled over. I discovered that bike freewheeled fine with engine off, but when started it intermittently bound up again pushing it forward or backward....any ideas ?.

Closed primary? if you can push it with the motor off, then it sounds like something in the primary or clutch area has come loose..Lots of nuts and bolts there..

After much fucking about and shouting and pissing at the bike we came to conclusion it was trans probs. Looking at pulling cluster and checking springs etc.....ball ache, expense and all the other attributes associated with the leisure dollar, I found there to be a broken bolt in the rear pulley hitting the swingarm intermittently...... phew panic over....

Got lucky, a friend of mines backed out and locked the rear wheel on his chop doing about 70mph.. he woke up in a field, cut up from barbed wire and a cow licking his face...

btw... the cow was not his ole lady...
