Led run/turn/ brake bulbs

My chopper has standard 1157 bulbs in the turn signals also used as running lights.
They don't last very long . Trying to find some leds to replace them with. The problem I'm having with the led bulbs they won't go in far enough to turn and lock because of the base flange on them. Anyone else tried these bulbs and had that problem. Other than changing the complete light for leds is there another solution.

Are the led bulbs from China?....They are notorious for making things wrong...and telling you that they are right..I didn't have any problems with mine fitting, ..but you have to realize that the turn signal may not function with the led bulbs because the flasher doesn't see them as a load...that happened to me..so you may have to change the flasher
if you find an led bulb that will fit in..they are out there..

The first ones I bought on eBay were definitely from China. I bought some sylvania bulbs at Autozone $20 bucks a pair. Same thing ,the base flange stopped the bulb before it went in far enough to turn and lock. The standard 1157 bulb doesn't have a flange and the bulb is tapered far enough for it to go in and lock

I found some Arlen ness LEDs that are built into the lense. I may buy them, tear out the bulb socket and wire them in hard.

I had the same issue, I bought led bulbs from auto zone they fit no problem but were to long to use the lens. I did buy red bulbs then used shrink wrap to hold the bulb to the housing they did fit and lock in place, they have been there for a year now. match up your old bulb pep boys also has them if you can post a pic of the base of the bulb with the position of the posts I can see if the match mine and send you a pair.
