Cool ohms

I was wondering what ohm cool to run with electronic ignition on my 77 shovel head it's a duel fire coil but I don't know what ohms

The primary should read 2 to 3 ohms, and secondary will be 10,000 to 12,000 ohms....A better test is to just scratch the primary to ground with the key on and look for a hot spark, hot and cold..

I may have misunderstood your original question......I thought you were testing your coil with an ohms meter.....Since an ohms test is sometime misleading because of the wide range of resistance reading.....plus the fact that a coils resistance can change as the bike heats up..Just scratch the coil ground terminal to ground and you should get a good hot spark regardless of the temperature of the coil...riding a long distance as apposed to just cranked..
