elbruto 113 timing hole

I was checking the timing on a bike I just got and was trying to check timing from the timing plug hole. It was hard to do it cuz oil was spraying out on to me. I do not recall if that is normal.
Any ideas?

Thank you

Thank you for the feedback I will where face shield and cover floor.

I will set check timing tonight to make sure this El Bruto 113 is on point. Supposed to be at 30 degrees.

If there are any other tip on setting this timing I am all ears.
