You,re good. I don,t think anything interferes with unscrewing them right there.
Remember, you need an approximately 2.5" long a pencil thick spring installed around the end of the cable ( inside the right side trany cover) which pushes the ramp back to resting place. The inner diameter of the spring is just big Enough to slide over the cable end.

What if you have a hydraulic clutch?

I just looked it up. It works with hydraulic too.

good point, i never had it, but i would think something should return the lever back into the resting position at least for cosmetic reasons.

Come to think of it, may be it's not necessary- while the engine is running, the pressure plate does that with ^ rpm. But i don't like to have it in comressed position or loose with engine off. I guess not a big deal.

Rekluse auto clutches have been used on dirt bikes with hydraulic actuators for years.

I still don't know how the clutch lever reacts though. Guess I'll find out. I plan to use one on my prostreet bike.

I called EFM a little while ago. He said it works the same just a little different adjustment with the hydraulic actuator.

yup studs came right off ..

all installed and hooks up nice.. my only issue is i have absolutely no clutch play im out all the way on my cable adjustment and there is atleast another 3 inches of cable..

i can shift through the gears without clutch when close to idle but not so smooth when driving at speed..

any thoughts?

thanks

Correct clutch cable?

And the other thing, remember there,s nothing pushing the pushroad and ramp back to tighten the clutch cable...till the engine is on. May be that,s why the cable looks long...the ramp is mot in the place.

Then it,s definitely the case of the ramp being in the engaged position thus the cable is all the way out.

I have an old actuator, so I took a picture of it with the spring with a skewer pretending to be a cable.

The spring is 2.5" long with ID 5/16- just to slide over the cable,s head. Don,t recall wire thickness, but somewhere around 1/16". Grounded ends. Bought at mcmaster

It will return the ramp to resting place

That,s how I did it on 3 bikes.
