1.75" pipes on 113"

I've read that I should have 2"-2.25" pipes with my 113". How badly will the 1.75" pipes I have hurt the performance of my motor? Also, I was planning to buy some baffles to increase the back pressure a bit. My profile pic shows the pipes in question. I really don't want to fork up more cash for larger pipes currently. Maybe after I get her running on the road I will change out the pipes. Will it damage my engine?

I use V&H short shots 1.75" with baffles by Big City Thunder on my TP 121" motor and if its loosing any power, then I sure don't need it. I can barely hang on under full throttle now!
