I had asked this question before, Jireh couldn't,t tell me by the number, but eventually they sent the mso which claims that the engine with my number is 127".

I was a bit paranoid., cause the price on 113, 120 and 127 was same, I was afraid anybody could make a mistake if there,s no specific marking on the engine.

Yes and I can attest it happens we had sold a 107 that turned out to be a 127 after we opened it up. No wonder it was the fastest 107 I had ever seen. I didn't install it in the shop otherwise we would have prolly noticed he was a local guy very new to the hobby and it was hard on parts but I am sure a lot of the troubles were he was tuning. It like it was a 107.

I found on ultima's website that the first 2 numbers are the engine group which puts mine in the 114-130 ci group, the next 2 are the year, which makes mine a 2010,then there is supposed to be 4 numbers designating the engine number then the last is supposed to be a letter telling c.i. of engine, but mine has the letter before the 4 numbers and the letter is not even on thier list, when i bought the bike the dealer claimed it was a 127 but i want to know for sure. Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Don't they use the same cases ..and pistons for several different size engines? It is the crank and rods that make the difference in size..I remember seeing here in the forum that to determine size, you have to open the timing hole and the size will be stamped on the flywheel 180 degrees from the timing mark....I have never looked..this could explain why they don't stamp the size on the cases...correct this if I am wrong..

talked to midwest today, not fun! they could not believe a letter in the fifth position of serial, and didnt want to talk to me until i got my shit together, unbelievable! makes me more worried about having a motor from this company that dont recognize it!. this page proves at least 6 such cases. still searching for holy grail.
