Got some time to work on the trike today. Mounted the tank and the shocks. It's a rigid frame but I wanted it a little more comfortable so I made a set up for the seat. Here's a couple of pics.

Thanks, I've been considering a trike build using the DNA axle. If you have any comments about the quality I'd appreciate hearing them. Do you know of anyone else running one that has some experience with them?

Bob

Bob. I know some other guys on here have probably run one. I don't have any feedback. Seems like a quality piece

well I took some time away from the build to move. Got the build at it's new home. Here's where I'm at. What are your thoughts? I'm undecided about a few things.

Leave the keg on the back? ( I want to split it and use it as storage )
The tank and front wheel too small?

I like the beer keg on the back. The gas tank looks a little short. maybe move it forward a few inches and just run some non functional extensions on the point of the tank to bring it towards the seat and curve down slightly. Something looks off with respect to the front wheel. maybe rotate the fender blank towards the rear leaving more fender on the back side of the tire than on the front to see how that looks. If you go with a larger wheel diameter wise that will change your geometry and will require reworking and may not change the look. I think it may just look weird with the fender sitting so far forward

I can't move the gas tank forward much more. I only have about 1 " of clearance on the top tree. You're right about the front fender. I'll move it back a bit and see how it looks. It's a flat top front fender also which may make it look small.

Got a new tank at the Stafford springs swap meet today. It's a Bourget fat daddy tank.

I think this looks much better

I like the tank better and the wheel does not look as weird up front without the fender.

OK,
Been gone for a while. My focus has been on remodeling my home. I'm now refocused on working on the trike and thinking about going in a different direction. thinkg about giving it a t bucket look

I'm used cardboard to do a mock up. I found a t bucket body for a go cart and was considering using that.
What are your thoughts guys?

I'm also going to give it a suspensions by making framework that will attach to the seat pivot.I'm going to use shocks, possible airshocks to attach the seat frame to the trike frame.
