are we sure it's the correct inner primary for the motor? What motor is it?

.. how is the engine bolted down. you should have bolted the rear mounts first and shim the front...

+1 on this. I wonder, what primary you have, who,s make?
May be you could do like pop did split the motor plate and use just the rear for bearing support and starter housing( if belt drives fits fine otherwise)
Just make sure you fix better trany preventing it from moving towards the motor.

Did it say "evo".....or twincam? Technically they only made the evo till 99. I think herein lies your problem....

I am not familiar with ultima products, but industry normal nomenclature is to specify compatability with Evo softail 1990 -1999. This is also the most common aftermarket frame available (regardless of being a rigid or softail).
The engine and transmission you have are based on the the 1999 softail Evo motor and tranny. Do you have the part number of your primary? wondering if you have the dyna version.... Does the inner primary plate have any numbers on it?

I believe the Dyna belt is a bit shorter. Look on eBay they might have the Softail motor plate and the belt, perhaps that,s everything you need.

Can't you send it back? Call em up and tell them you ordered the wrong one. Repack it and send it back.....seems easy enough to me.
