Thumbs up New carbon fiber wheels

Here is the full press release:

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Revolution Manufacturing unveils carbon fiber wheels for the v-twin market

Revolution Manufacturing, the world leader in carbon fiber technology for the v-twin, has recently unveiled new wheels made from carbon fiber. Sizes currently include 18x3.5, 19x3, and 21x2.15 for the front and 18x3.5, 18x5.5, and 18x8.5 for the rear. A 21x3 and 23x3 fronts are in the works as is an 18x9 and 18x10.5 for the rear. Applications include all current v-twin bikes including the Vrod. Special applications can be ordered.

The front sizes weight a mere 6 lbs with hubs and bearings with the rears weighing 8 lbs for the 18x5.5 and 9 lbs for the 18x8.5. This can equate to a substantial weight savings over billet and even spoke wheels.

10-15 hp gains are guaranteed. Also with the savings in weight in the most crucial area of the bike, the bikes, in turn, will handle better, steer faster and more responsive, accelerate faster, and stop better. All this is due to the substantial savings in rotating mass. “Most people don’t realize the effect that current heavy billet wheels have on performance” states Michael Kamalian, CEO of Revolution Manufacturing. “By lowering the rotating mass and moving what is left inward to the hub, all aspects of vehicle dynamics are improved”. Our test riders remarked that “there was such an improved feel in all areas of the bike. I thought they repainted a different bike to look like mine because this is definitely a different motorcycle”.

“Our wheels are like black diamonds” Michael states. “They also should be considered more of a performance upgrade than merely a cosmetic one. We guarantee 10-15 hp gains at the rear wheel. It’s like adding a cam or other power adders but without the hassle of opening the motor. Couple that with today’s already high hp engine and you have a hell of a combination”.

Revolution Manufacturing is currently taking orders for Jan/Feb delivery as well as looking for dealers/distributors. Retail pricing starts at $3,600 per pair.

Revolution Manufacturing stunned the v-twin market back in January 2005 with the release of the only carbon fiber frame for the v-twin. It has received many awards including Hot Bike’s most innovative product award and the first annual Teresi V-Twin award.

Revolution Manufacturing is located at 1435 Field Park Circle Bldg 100 Marietta Georgia 30066. Michael and his team can be contacted at 770-420-9191 or via the web at www.RevolutionSpeed.com.

pricing is:

any front (21x2.15, 19x3, 18x3.5) and either 18x3.5 or 18x5.5 retails for $3600 per pair.

any front (see above) and 18x8.5 retails for $3750 per pair.

the other sizes (10.5 wide) should only add maybe 50-100 bux more. fronts will stay the same.

i like them alot , plus they should be very lightweight and strong , good job carbon king , how abouth 3D design

for 23 on front not sure abouth them i was gonna use on my new project but people who used them before they with them wheels staring are bad ,plus you need big front brake rotor on front , small rotor not goona do good for 23 inch, wheel 2 reasons its gonna over heat and its poor brake preformance ,

they are dot right now and we are just about finished with the tuv testing. Yea the tuv is expensive and takes forever (we actually had to make them re-write how they test composite wheels due to the fact that all the wheels before were of a metal origin and a lot of the criteria doesnt pertain to composites) but for some reason with the tuv you get uber validation - like its an impossible feat or something. we also have them in 17" sizes for drag/road racing, sportbikes, and such.
