The Ultimate Hayabusa (T. Dukes Memorial Tribute Build)

Check out the work of Classic Components and many others on this special tribute bike for fallen New Orleans police officer, Thelonious Dukes. More information on the entire bike build and details below:

This build was inspired by the life of Thelonious Dukes Sr. (aka “Tank”), one of The City of New Orleans finest champions of justice, who was an outstanding Police Officer, Friend, Family member, and Father. Thelonious had a great passion for motorcycles, and his beloved bike “The Red Bull” was a 1st Generation Hayabusa Red Limited edition that had seen many similar performance and custom modifications. After his tragic passing this several year build was painstakingly created in his honor.

More information on the build, its tribute, and sponsors can be seen at its Facebook page:

I thought I posted in the right location. Do I need to post an introduction? I couldn't seem to find the rules posted in the forum. Can you guide me to the right location? I'm on the up and up and want to make sure I post it right. From the looks of your responses, I may not have.

I've always wanted a busa. Turboed, street fighter-esque.

That bike turns my stomach. So its not the anti-love of a non chopper, its the hate of a waste of a perfectly good rocket.

I did however peruse the facebook page, and keep seeing the word "sponsored", so If I say that my build is a tribute to my grandfather who passed a few years back, whos tools I'm using to build it, may I get "sponsored" as well?

Never saw steetfighters in NJ, always thought it was a european thing. Here crotchrockets and especially busas are typically so dressed up, so gaudy with bling and look so heavy that the stock bike looks like a moped in comparison. What a shame. The bike with a lot of potential...in the right hands.
