DIY 5'x6'x5' Curing Oven

Hey Guys

I've been manufacturing industrial batch ovens for the past 8 years. We recently closed our operation down to move to a different line of work (sleeping til 11 am and riding the scooter til time for bed)

I wanted to offer a complete set of build plans on one of our small models for free of course.

The oven is 5' wide 6' tall 6' deep can be built for either gas or electric heat. I will be posting a parts and vendor list. I will also offer cad files to get the parts cut. I posted some pics to show the oven. It will take me a couple weeks to get over thing together. This is a perfect oven for motorcycle, hotrod and other small parts.

Pretty cool Todd!!! I'm sure it's quite a few more bucks then the trailer though. What are you using for heating elements, thermocouple, controls?

I use SS finned strip heaters for electric and a Heatwise Su-5 burner for gas. Thermal couples are type J. I will post how to build the control panel. I have all this shit cluttering my computer.

Over the years I've drawn and collected a shit load of cad drawings like the tag bracket below. I will try to start a thread on just cad files.

I have no intention of building an oven but that tag bracket looks kick-ass! I may have another project coming up soon! Maybe it'll be easier for you if you just send me your harddrive.

Thanks Todd.

Thumbs up Industrial batch oven

Hi. I read your post on possible " FREE " plans on your smaller batch oven. It's rather the top notch oven I saw on your page that got me. I'll be starting on manufacturing of lever and pull handles for doors in Jan 2012 that would requires powder coating. I'm still gathering all relevant machines and equipment. I have just purchased a Prima Wagner EPG 2008 for R12750 (+/- 1800 USD).I'm extremely excited to be able to have my own complete powder coating plant. Please let us know as soon as possible when the plans will be ready free or not. Await your reply- Johannesburg SA.
