I think its been plainly stated by more then one Moderator that if you have information about Jay whether its good or bad you may present it here. But if it is nothing more then speculation or just bashing for no good reason then this isnt the place for it.Im not taking up for anybody just stating my thoughts on this. And if Rick wanted it deleted then he had every right to ask that.

Yes I do. I have a really good idea what I'm after. Style-wise.

What I am after is a builder I can trust. I work hard for my cash and I'm not in the habit of losing big bucks on anything.

Believe me, I went through far more builders than those 3. Only reason Phantom is under consideration was becuase of the info I got from here and the subsequent conversations I've had with Jay.

craig, shut the fuck up. i'm not even talking about rick's thread. last night's thread was not rick's to fuck up. after that getting shut down, i understand RRSA's post here. whatever the reason given, at least three threads have been shut down without clarification from jay. people are just trying to ask if his kits are EPA compliant. can he get a CARB type sticker on them? can they be registered in states that are considering the newer regulations? and if so, is titling them in those states as easy as he continues to advertise them as? i don't know the answer to these questions, but nor have they been answered for about a year now.

combine that with three (count 'em) threads getting closed or deleted, and it starts to smell a little funny in denmark. mods, let jay do himself a favor and clear this air. jay apologists, the same to you. it's great that jay sold you an autoclutch or an air cleaner or controls at a great rate, and gave you fantastic service on your frontend, going above and beyond. and it's fantastic that he's helping rick with his titling issue in NJ. but other people are wondering ahead of time about the particulars of titling issues before their own purchases, and i see a lot of bullying when these people bring up these questions. strongarming from bullies on the thread, and threads getting shut down. frank makes a good point. but craig, you're missing the point.

this is faith that is blind.
but blind faith was only a good band

many here sang praises for cal custom and would fall on the sword for him without knowing him because of his willingness to assist members as well as chew thier ass.
then he fell out of grace and everyone was on him like a vulture. this is the nature of the beast.

the best way to stop shit being pitched at you is to ignore it. Jay appears as if he's doing that but the moderators seem to want to carry the torch.

i am more concerned with some of the additudes shown by the mods.
shawn saying to stop posting shit...
scary typing in large bold font showing he's angry
members being informed of criteria standards where none existed before.

this forum is made up of people associated with motorcycles and everyone knowsw thateven that ecletic group can't get along all the time.
we are a family, and show me a family that isn't disfunctional and i'll show you the cleavers home.

if there is gonna be any thread elimination , kill that fucking post your pic thread as i'm sure it is the cause for this forum to go down occasionally.

now can we have a big hug and sing kom-by-wa

Not trying to get the thread back on track but if I were you, no matter what builders you're dealing with, I would ask for a list of all the people they built bikes for in the last year or two (depending on how many they build in a year) and contact them directly.

Wasn't me!

At some point in the not too distant future, I can see where EPA compliance will become a big issue. But personally, it's not an issue for a PA title.

I don't think there's any misrepresentation of EPA compliance going on here from Phantom (he never said he was to me anyway). In fact, any company using an Ultima engine is not EPA complaint. I think S&S has the only EPA complaint motor at this time.

Wasn't rlwjr13 that had/has the titling problem? Did I miss someone else?

rlwjr13,
herein lies the problem. In the thread you authored "dmv shot me down, now what?", you stated the state of NJ was demanding an epa sticker and some type of noise emission stickers that you didn't have and weren't going to get.

This is the problem (or maybe convenience) with being able to remove your posts. Pretty much well say want you want to say and not be held accountable.

Mr Scary,
As a service to forum members will you please sift through the thread and see where rlwjr13 is the first to bring up epa compliant stuff. I believe it the second or third page of the thread shouldn't take you to long. Can you report back to us your findings as we are all unable qualify the above statement made by rlwjr13.

Yes RRSA, you are right. It's there. There's no need for me to post it.

You're right.

I have an idea.

You Should Create a thread in Phantoms section and ask him these questions.

They are legitimate questions.

And we can Let Rick go through his titling process. When it's all said and done, He will report back to us.

Until then, Lets see what happens.
