It's almost done Lucky. So after the neck cups I installed the bearing races in the neck cups. In the past I have always just used a socket to do this on cars and trucks but I was at Pep Boys the other day and saw the race tool for 30 bucks and decided I had to have it for this build. It came with 6 different sizes for different size races. Couple a taps and ching. Thats the sound when you know they are in just right (bottomed out in the cups)

Next was the neck bolt, timken bearings and triple trees. Pretty straight forward!

On with the back forks next.

I got more done but I can't load anymore pics today. This 5 per day sucks and I only loaded 3. I don't get it. More tomorrow I guess.

Still up in the air on the overall design Gene but it will be a dark blue fading to black. Plan on some air brushing also.

Gotta love those springs!!! Pretty straight forward and for anyone putting one of these together from American Suspension, there website has a pretty detailed manual for the Dragon springer.

Next it's the front tubes (pushrod), rockers and wheel.

I love that front end man.
Almost as good looking as some chicks rear end.
I can't wait to see the lower end.

Thanks Tommy and BS!!! Got the front end done for now and before anyone jumps all over me, I know the center tree's up to high and the rockers aren't sitting right and the frames to high. I still have to cut all the tubes but I want to get the drivetrain on and see how she sits before I start cuttin up the front end.

Drivetrain!!!! That sounds so right!! Stay tuned!

OOH, OOh now you're really getting me excited. I love that springer look.
Oh, by the way, the center tree's up to high and the rockers aren't sitting right and the frames to high. I had to say it.
Some side shots please.

Rick,I wonder why phantom doesn’t send the tube's out already cut?..
Are you going to chrome them or paint?..
It would be allot easer to center the tire, and get that front end right, before the drive train is in.
The drive train isn’t going to change anything.
Looks good...

Looks good...
The springer comes direct from American Suspension and are long for different setups (rake, downtube height etc.). Also where you set your rockers can be a personal preference (angle to fork tubes) and won't affect performance to a certain degree. I haven't decided yet on chrome or paint. I'm either going to completely chrome em or just chrome the back forks and paint the front (pushrods). What do you think?
