Sharpie Paint Schemes

I've recently come across the sharpie painting concept. Someone posted a CFL that was painted with a sharpie, I was wondering if anyone else has any experience with this or knows anything about it?

Looks pretty damn awesome to me.

i don't. i went back through his instagram, where i thought i'd seen a lot of stuff done, and i couldn't find much. more helmets. lot of pictures of the same stuff. one helmet went to france, it seems. but i never could find what he was selling it for. i'll try to remember to ask him next time i talk to him, but it's not so often now that he lives several hours from here.

try your local painter or artist.
Just not that it is a water based sharpie being used, they might have to order them in, not sold everywhere. This way it does not affect the paint.

I do some water based painting of helmets and then clear them. They look great. I use Posca markers. The cool thing is you can unscrew them and refill them with UV protected paint if you want to use them for a scoot. Been thinking about painting one of my scoots this way.

Old thread, but I'm curious if applying adhesive primer is needed before using the Posca markers.
