Anyway, ther is my chop. She iis a late 60s or early 70s So-Cal chopper (titled as a 1970. . .) w/ a Paughco hard-tail frame, a girder front end and a heavily-modded Honda CB350 powerplant. The tank is a hand-made prism tank from the 60s, and the exhaust is a full set of 70s Hooker TT race pipes. She has the beautiful patina which only comes from not being washed for 40-odd years.

I picked her up about a year ago as a crashed, broken down project that hadn't been on the road in many many years. I rebuilt her myself using only vintage period parts (except tires and fuel lines, everything else is at least 30 years old). I can break down all I did if anyone cares. . .

Specs: 9' long, 300-odd lbs, slammed with just 4" ground clearance, suspension that was outdated in the 40s, loud enough to set off car alarms, and even more fun to ride than it looks! I ride her all the time. To date she has caused 2 traffic accidents (while parked) from people rubbernecking.

wonderful bike really wonderful thank you for posting up that pic there.

the CB's were chopped up pretty heavy back in the day , teh 750 of course was the holy grail of the jappers back then

Here is one I'm in the process of building. I just finished the sissy bar over the weekend. The frame is 10/5 and 45. I have a wishbone springer front end for it and plan to make a coffin tank.

I know it's not a 70's bike, but I had to have my dual headlights on this one. They are a hit everywhere I go.

I hope this stirs up a revival!

I'm going to look at some flake charts... find my file of '70s psychodelic album cover art.... get out my stash of lace, and see what would make a good basis for some "groovy" paint! :-)~
