I am running mini apes on mine. Frame is a 2-up I am not a tall guy so thats about all I can reach and still be somewhat comfortable.

It makes sense to him, and he's the only one who matters.

Washington State got the handlebar height limits removed a couple years ago. The main case was the factory Heritage's were coming off the floor, "over height and out of compliance". Go figure

Personally, I think it's a matter of comfort. If a guy is most comfortable with a set of apes that pulls his ass 3 inches off the seat, then those are the safest bars for him.

These are mine, and they work for me.
