Another new guy...

So I made an impulse decision and traded my 2002 F350 for a chopper I knew nothing about... and still really don't.

I'm 27 years old and have owned my fair share of motorcycles, most of which were "crotch rockets". I've also had a couple dirt bikes and a metric cruiser (Suzuki vs1400) but nothing quite like a chopper.

I was super stoked on the bike (and still am) but as I tear into the bike, I'm finding some flaws which kinda pisses me off since dude claimed the bike was "immaculate". Anyways, I realize getting mad isn't gonna do me any good so it's all about finding out what other demons need to be exercised and get this baby on the road!

I was told that the bike is a 04' CCI pro-street chopper but I don't think that's right. I found a stamp on the frame above the motor that says Rolling Thunder. It supposedly has a 110" Revtech motor but I'm not even sure how to verify that. It does sound effin' MEAN when it's fired up!! The bike has a Revtech 6 speed tranny and that is really about all that I know about the bike.

I don't have a clue what forward controls, forks, wheels, tank, fenders, rear pegs, turn signals, ignition, seat, softail parts, final drive, handlebars, controls etc. are on this bike. Maybe some of you guys can help me identify these things.

Here some pics (maybe somebody knows the bike):

Yeah those pipes got super hot at one point and the pipe coming off the front cylinder is even cracked to the point of having a hole in it on the "step up" weld near the flange. I ordered a set of those Vance & Hines big radius pipes for 86-99 evo motor... I hope they fit!

Alright, I've rambled on enough, hopefully your not snoozin' by now I look forward to all the wisdom on this forum and hopefully making some friends along the way.

I really can't identify the parts for you, but it appears to be quality built and the lines flow nicely. Exhaust change will be good. Nice paint. Welcome aboard and post questions as you need to. Start a new thread in the shop category for technical questions. (I can tell you the mirror is an Arlen Ness one because I have the same one.)

Welcome to CC! The pipes should fit they might need a slight tweaking if you have a lot of offset but it can be done......Enjoy the scoot!

Nice looking scoot. If your pipes are still getting that hot you may need to adjust the timing. When I fired my daughters bike up for the first time with a revtec 100" the pipes would glow cherry red.

Thanks for advice fellas. I'm gonna take it to my buddies shop and have him dyno tune it. Anyway, after some extensive research I have learned that is in fact a CCI Rick Doss "Rocket" kit bike. All I know is it has some cuss ugly Revtech tach/speedo unit mounted right in the center of the bars and I cannot figure out for the life of me how to remove it. There are no exposed nuts or bolts anywhere, the only thing I see is a red push button on the underside of the housing (trip meter reset?).

yeah the bezel did unscrew but it took a strap wrench to do the job. There was no way it was coming off by hand. The PO had wrapped black duct tape around the threads for some reason

Now I have a huge hole in my bars with wires sticking out and Im trying to figure out what I can do to cover that up and keep these bars cuz I like em. I don't want to put another gauge there though.

LOL nah I removed the bezel. There is about a 3/4" hole in the bars where the wires stick out... maybe I could hook up a cigarette lighter to light my smokes while Im cruising
