What's krackalacin

Recently purchased my first custom. Im not in to the factory bikes and decide to go to the custom side. Unfortunately I bout a custom nightmare. Frame is a Paughco 120, 93 Sporster 883 stock except for Bassani sweepers I put on. Wide Glyde front I believe, Fat Bob tanks and Takasago T 21x2.15 chrome spoke wheels. 21 in the front 16 in the rear. I got the bright idea I was gonna fix what was messed up. Bought a service manual spent countless hours researching and im just getting broker by the minute.

Thanks for having me and look forward to learning all I can.

Howdy, Post some pics!!

So for the bike, Bassani Sweepers will work better with a good air flowing air cleaner, Since its not stock a manual will only be good for the absolute basics. Since its a "Custom" you have to remember the builder might of taken a short cut here or there, Wiring might not be like stock.

What problems did the bike have before you bought it?
What did they tell you it needed?

I didn't really question things since I was buying from a coworker. Been wanting Harley but not stock and more choper/Bobber. At that point I wouldn't have not what to ask anyway. The bike had sat for about 2 years before I bought. Within a couple I started to notice things weren't right. Started with the carb and thats when it really started. Initially I was going to rebuild the S&S Super E. However it wasn't in the best of shape. With tanks removed is where the wiring issues were discovered. Miss match gauge sizes taped together, solid core spliced with stranded. That's when I decided to make everything right. Striped out all the old factory wiring and solenoids. Removed all the stock handle controls and left only the throttle, break and clutch on the handle bars. Wired only what was necessary to run and be legal to a 20am circuit breaker. New chain, removed the points and installed a Dyna programmable ignition that I dynamic timed. New fuel line and petcock. Had all the gaskets from the base gasket up replaced with cometic gaskets. Still can't seem to get the carb dialed in. But I found somthihgs on im trying this weekend. Biggest thing for me is the proper tools and space to do what's left. Plus I have absolutely no experience with motorcycles let alone a custom.

Looks AWESOME!!! have you gotten it to fire up? It could be your jets are solid, so you kight need new jets now, was it stored with gas still in the tank and open flowing? Right behind the motor on the small plate you can add a small tray to add a smaller battery and use a larger oil tank for looks (cosmetic only)

Super E. Is this what the card says on it or just the aircleaner or what he told you? I have a friend who thought he has a Super E but it was a tear drop on a CV.

Reread, so its a atock 883,

I would recommend swapping jets first, especially after 2 years of sitting.
