Thanks guys,
It is much beeter in person. The panel is 2x3ft. Done on Kandy Rootbeer metal base. The frame for it is also handmade and will be gold leafed as well. I will post the picture of the guitar that goes with it when I am finished. Be sure to stop by the show in Sturgis if you are in the area.

That's just sick!

Did you carve it? You're doing the fretwork? Didn't know you were a luthier as well, killer work. P-90 in the bridge? I've got one layin around here from a 1960 LP jr...
Do you play too? I did it for about 27 years.

Check out the double neck I made on my website www.viciouscycles.org

Always cool to see what you're up to.

Hey Nicholas,
I have been building guitars for years. I have had a complete shop in my back yard for about 7 years. www.learnguitars.com is the place where you can see more of the work.

This guitar is entirely hand carved the old fashioned way. Basswood is easy on tooling. Just chisels and gouges. It is really light. Hell, even the pick up is hand made.
The neck is built entirely from scratch as well. I make the trussrods as well. I am hoping when I retire from painting someday I can build guitars.

I will check out the double neck on your site.
Mike

Here it is finished. Check it out in person at the show in Sturgis. Maybe even play a chord or two.
