Yamaha Raider

Anybody checked out the new Yamaha Raider? It seems as though it is a heck of a bike.

yeah, sure have

noticed a few things though-
1. pipes are gay and dont flow with the bike
2. tanks a bit too small
3. risers are horrible
4. imo its priced a bit steep also

def looks bad ass from the rear though with that 210

It does have a nice feel when you sit on it. Went to the new bike show in Spokane a few weeks back and it was one of the nicest bikes in it's class. The pipes would be the first to go though. Aren't they always!

I like the Stratoliner. If I were to get a cruiser for the the wife and myself, that would be the one.

I picked up a new Strat last Fall. Couldn't pass on it. Left over '06 for just under 11K. Really sweet ride, and lots of cool features. The saddlebags come off with three quarter turn fasteners. Windshield and passenger backrest are quick release, and key locked. Even has digital clock in the instrument cluster. It's a LOT of motorcycle for the money. I'm very pleased with it.

I like that Stratoliner also. I was watching the video for the Raider and they were thrashing it in some twisties. It seems like Yamaha is always talking about performance, where as Harley doesn't seem to be as concerned in that arena. I don't really understand that. I just sold my Busa. About to be 42 and the sportbike scene has changed so much, or I have just gotten too old for wheelies on the freeway. (smile) I want a cruiser, but I still want some performance. Been talking about a chopper for the longest, but I'm still so undecided. Oh well, I guess that's part of the fun

Man! I saw a Raider on the freeway yesterday. Pictures do not do it justice. That thing looks awesome rolling down the highway.
