I know in the State you guys use different names for Parts so please ask if you don't know what I'm talking about.
I want to use the least number of stock Parts as possible so I'm going to make the Swing Arm from scratch.
These are the Parts for my £10 Swing arm.
It took 4 Nights to turn up this stuff on my little Lathe.
The Bearing holders were easy but the Stainless Spacers came out of 40mm Solid bar.
The Rear hub ring took a few hours too as that had to be taken from 75mm ID to 115mm ID. I will use the internals from the VFR800 Single sider.

Next job was to Bolt these parts to the Engine and Rear Wheel to be joined together.
Again I will be making it in Tube using inspiration from my Friends in Thailand.
I had the Engine and Rear wheel Aligned on the Table using the original Swingarm, bolted them down to keep it all straight then removed the Swing arm and slid the Wheel back in to the position I wanted it.
Double checked the Sprockets with a spirt level and went for it.

Well it's starting to get colder over here in England and I'm full of feckin Man flu, so I gave in an put the Fire on.
I didn't feel like doing any work, but lets face it. What else are you going to do when you're ill? Watch TV? Feck that shit.
I had an half arsed attempt at making a Rear Guard. Not sure if I like it yet? Maybe it will grow into something else?

I've done a bit on the Riders seat over the weekend.
It was only 4 pieces of Tube but it took me 2 full afternoons and I nearly cut the whole bike up at one point because it was pissing me off.
I eventually got all the Bends right in the end and then the Argon ran out just as I was about to Tack it up.
I picked up a new Bottle yesterday, stuck it together and it's worked out alright.

I need to have a little break for this for a couple of weeks as it feels like I might burn out on it.
A mate aproached me the other day and asked if i could do a few Jobs on his VW Trike.
As it turned out the Trike was so badly made in the first place that it is too dangerous to be on the Road.
The Headstock is just a Large portion of an XS750 Welded on to a couple of 1" Tubes and a piece Scaffold Pipe.
They have left half of the VW tunnel in there and hidden it with Plates.
The Frame Bends when you press the Break/Clutch Pedals.
The Front Wheel runs 2" off centre.
The list goes on...........
These Pictures show my mate (Macbeth) and the Trike as he brought it to me and my rough Mock up of how it might look.
