I had an old 440 LTD that I rode for a few years back in the late 80's. It was a fun little bike and got me where I wanted to go.

Looks like your having fun with this one already Jeff.

the LTD is the touring style... it came with the 16 inch rear instead of the 18 and it had a mid ape bar

Here's an update. I finally bought a Lincoln snot box so I can tack critical things (for my friend Andre to tig later) while I learn to weld on non-critical things, like brackets and such. After that I went to town on the frame and stretched it about 8" up and 4" out. I also got some premade decorative steel to add some class. A nice rear spoke wheel and tire with a new drum brake for about $102 off Ebay will handle stopping duty. On the front end I bolted on a junk wheel just to roll the thing around and see how it sits.

Looks good Jeff. Can't wait to see her finished. Any plans for a non-white seat?

I decided to massage the frame some more; raked it out and goose-necked it and shortened the down tubes. From ebay I bought a skinny 19" front wheel with a small drum brake off a honda CL90. Mock-up shows everything fitting pretty good so far. Only a few little things to make like an anchor rod for the rear brake, a couple mounting tabs, and other little things like that. Then I'll be molding everything in smooth before prime and paint. More pics to follow.

Up and out wasn't looking so good to me, so I cut it all apart and goose necked it. After playing with the paint, I'm going with red and gold for the colors. Lots of sanding to do and I still have to make an exhaust.

Pretty cool Jeff. You doing anything with the rear fender? The reason I ask is cause it looks big, slammed would look alot better IMO.

Thanks, man. Yeah the fender doesn't do much for me either or that honda cl90 120mm tire! I'm going to fit it on better by moving it back a bit. It actually looks better in person, in the pic it looks like the bike is sitting up high and has a lot of holow spaces. But it's really about 6" from the ground and will fill in when I get the side panels on. Should be ready to ride by month's end.
