Look what I've got!
Her name is Jocelyn, and she was born at 9:00 a.m. Sunday morning, and she's perfect! She was a big girl at 8lbs 13oz.
For those wondering, epidurals are the greatest thing ever invented. My wife is doing great and we just got to come home from the hospital.
Watching her birth was the craziest thing I've ever seen.
More updates to come on the bike, but just had to show her off

You spend the first two years teaching them to walk and talk and the next 16 telling them to sit down and shut up. Mine are 17 13 5 and 1. Good luck. Nice build, by the way.

Thanks for all the kind words guys, she's incredible!
Here's what I did the day before she was born:
I'm liking it so far. Again, the sides will be cut down to slim up the fender. Also, I'm going to make some mini round bar struts to keep the top steady.
I also got my new compressor in- The last one was just too physically big to fit into where I needed it to be along with the tank and battery and electricals. I included the can to show the actual size, this thing is tiny! Much better. Will take a bit longer to fill the tank, but I'm not too concerned.
Thanks guys

using my ultra sweet MS Paint skills, here's a rendering of the exhaust I want to build. Any thoughts?
Thanks

lookin good man, the pipes flow good with the case but unless you are doing a two-into-one manifold/carb on the other side of the bike it looks like you will be sucking in some hot air. not really sure if that matters or not but anyhow the build is looking good. good luck

I liked my design, so I went with it
Check the pics and let me know whatcha think. I ran out of bends right at the last minute, so the top pipe doesn't have a turnout on it, I'll have to get another bend to finish it, but I'm really pleased with the way they came out. Fitment in some areas isn't as perfect as I wanted it, but really they turned out nice.
I'm going to finish weld them, and add some supports, maybe even a couple tabs on the backside with a spring connecting the two.
And I took a final picture to show the exhaust placement supposedly next to my my leg, and after I took the pic, I don't think I could've looked any more like a dork. So using my sweet MS Paint skills, I put a pimp cap on.

I worked on it a little more today, I wasn't happy with the first shifter and linkage setup I made- it looked too crappy. So I made a new lever out of roundbar, the tabs will be shaped soon. The linkage itself turned out pretty good.
I cut out the rear fender finally, and made some struts for it. Came out pretty well I thought. I might give the struts themselves a little more support. I also cut the section out to clear the chain.
To answer the question of how much clearance I'll have, I finally got a new tube in the front tire and aired everything up. As I suspected, at the lowest point I had 4" of clearance. The little green circle is where it's finally touching.
If I manage to get this bike this far over, I'm going to scare myself!
Also, as a side note: I'm a cheap fellow, and I don't want to pay the local harley place for a new petcock for my tank. If anyone has a spare Sportster petcock lying around that they would sell me for cheap, let me know!
Thanks guys
Sky

That bike is cool. Not crazy about the HOOK footpegs though. If you hit a little dog (or skunk) he will get stuck and you'll have to dig him out. Safety first...if you're gonna ride it.

The setup looks good..... It would be neat if the foot peg hooks followed around to make a U shape. Kinda like a floor board. It would look a little more finished I think. And if you got tired of you foot position you could hang your heels on the front of the U shape... and not hook you achilles tendon on the point.
Right now I am not so sure of the look for the footpegs..... but that is what makes it your bike and something unique. And that bike is turning out nice. Keep the pics coming.
