I used a single stage paint. When I did the frame,,there were a couple spots I didnt get it wet enough so it didnt shine right. So when I did the tins,,I tried to make sure I didnt have any dull spots.
My understanding tho,,is that because its single stage,,I should be able to wet sand the runs,,hit it with some rubbing compound,,and problem solved. sound right to you?

Yes, you can do that. I didn't know you were using single stage.

I'm glad to see you making progress! I've been watching this thread for quite a while now.

Wet sand those runs. You will be glad you did later!

Well after a couple of days of having other things to do,,I finally got back to the cellar to work on her. Got it back to rolling status,,and got the new (used) motor bolted in.

So far today I have managed to get all my electronics mounted,,,now I am attempting to route and hook up the wiring is a somewhat non-cluttered manor. I have decided that the wiring is quite possibly the most frustrating, challenging, and perplexing part of building a chopper. At least when using a cobbled up factory harness. OK,,nuff bitchin,,,back to the dungeon!

Well,,,fucking wiring still got me bumfuckled,,,been dickin with it all day. Cant get my starter button to work, and when I jump the solenoid it turns over but no spark. I had spark before. So the wife said "are you sure its not the motor you put in it". So I get to thinking,,maybe the pick up coil got corroded from sitting. So when I get back to it I will check that,,,gonna take a break from it for now tho.
