Yeah, I think it will look great. It was $159 so, its not the cheapest, but not crazy expensive.

Im thinking of mounting it about level to the axle bolt, that way theres just enough fender for mud and dirt slinging, flames to be painted on and maybe a rear passenger? who knows.

I agree, Ive yet to ever see a front fender that looks good on a springer...although this one looks good

Yeah, you basically weld a lower fender bracket to the bottom of the swing arm and make some fender struts to weld on to the side of the swing arm. As well as cutting it to length and cutting a chain recess on the side.
Need to tackle that next.
