Flat 6" fender on to swingarm

Looking for ideas to mount a 6" flat boat trailer fender to a 2006 Honda Rebel? Thoughts are to weld a bracket to the rear of the swingarm, bolt fender to it and fab some struts to bolt to a bracket welded to the swingarm H near the rear Axel. Any other ideas?

You got it ,has to move in conjunction with the swing arm, check out hardtails on pintrest , you can tape a tube to the tire for tire clearance for the fab work
