help w/ exhaust?

help w/ exhaust?
i have samson zoomies for my softail.the problem is that the rear pipe ends pointing at the rear peg. i have the perse l.e.d. pegs for running/braking/turning. the heat from the pipe will definitily cause problems for the l.e.d.'s. i love these pipes so i would like to add 90 degree elbows to both ends of the pipes so the exhaust exits away from pegs. if this can be done what are my choices. can it be bolt-on like end caps or does it need to be welded. i want to black-out pipes but have chrome 90 degree or so ends w/ little maltese crosses ( 4 or 6 cut around perimeter of end of caps). might also look cool w/ raised maltese crosses instead of cut out but i'm way ahead of myself though. i would alsolike the elbows to be larger diameter then zoomies( ex. zoomies are i think 2" dia. so would like elbows to be 2 1/4" or 2 1/2").i don't know if any1 sells elbows that would start at 2" & taper out to 2 1/4" or 2 1/2". if any of this is possible or if any1 has suggestions please help me out.

I think if you like the look of the pipes you have, stay with that. I think samson zoomies are really for the rigids. Because of the problems you are having with your rear pegs. If you like the look you might possibly have a custom set made that will not interfere with your rear pegs. Or look at other manufactures, there are several that make that style of pipe. I don't know of any companies making billet elbows or what you are looking for. As for the steps & finish. the pipes can be custom made to any diameter you like. Once they are chromed, you can apply ceramic black to achieve the black & chrome look. I think you are looking for a one-off pipe.
