Angry back to rebuilding

hey big daddy chop, i haven't got the pics of the bike to you guys yet because i had a motorcycle accident shortly after speaking w/ brian on the phone. i was working out some bugs w/ the bike (elec. etc.) when the front brake locked up all of a sudden. i had new bdl hand controls (nothing but trouble) on the bike & i think the weep hole was clogged when they chromed them & they never relieved it. the pressure built up & caused the pistons in the caliper to activate. front wheel locked up & back wheel kicked out throughing me off the bike. i landed on my face fracturing my right cheek bone & dislocating my knee. could of been worse i guess. bike got banged up. i ownly had liability on the bike because full for a 28 year old in new york w/ a custom & s&s 113 would be $3000. away, unfortunitly i can't take pics & send them to you yet. it took 3 1/2 yrs. to build bike so i'm pissed but atleast i'm alive. i'll keep you guys informed as i am very proud of the sheet metal klock werks did. i want my pics on thier gallery so bad. talk to you later.

Oh man I can't imagine that. Was there any kind of warning. I assume they bled properly but then just locked up??? I guess that is a lesson for all of use to check everything. Something I would not ever think of.

ya, brakes were bled & everything was checked before i went riding. i do alot of rear braking & down shifting but this time out used the front more than normal. very hard to find a problem like that until it happens.

I think this is an interesting thread because it teaches us all to check as best we can. But like you said you cannot find everything. So what you are saying is that on your master cyclinder cap the vent was clogged? I actually checked mine yesterday after reading this and they look free and clear.

Just glad to hear you are okay and ready to build again.
