XL Engine Mods

Dale, I was just wondering if you guys deal with buell/xl motors. I've seen the amount of HP you get out of big twins, I was just wanting to see what kind of power you could get out of a Buell 1200. If you have, could you tell me what kind of increases I could expect.

If you are looking for performance out of a Buell give Justin from
twobitchoppers.com a call he's pretty much the authority around here when it comes to Buells. He is a nice, honest guy and he can steer you in the right direction. Hope this help...............

Check this site out, or at least this page there, on what you can do to a 1200 to get max performance outta it. This is pretty much above and beyond what your normal "bolt on" 100 hp XL can do, so be prepared to ride it more as a weekend warrior/bar hopper toy bike than a daily rider. 133 horses from a 74ci motor might just rattle your teeth a tad...

Go to http://www.nrhsperformance.com/ for sporty HP and fast times. Many years at Bonneville and other places with history to back up claims.

What woodhawg said or http://www.cycle-rama.com/ probably the best two in the country. Be prepared to cough up 2-3 G's to get 100+ hp . Both are good people to deal with also. Cams, headwork, carb, pipes and hang on !!

hey Buelster, your scooter turned out great. I recognized the pic in your avatar right away from some pics Mike Sorensen sent me. I bought one of his frames too. Check my gallery for pics.

Mark B, Thanks for the comps. Mike is the man. I'm thinking of building another one. Something more along the lines of yours (which is sweet). I'm wanting to go a little more old school. Did you see his that he finished last year. That thing is nasty. He really is a great builder. Anyone looking to build a sporty chop needs to call him. His customer service is second to none.

Yeah, that shovester of his turned out sweet. I used to see him online pretty much daily but I changed jobs and can't run messenger any longer. Last time I emailed him, he was moving into a new, larger shop. Tell him hi for me if you talk to him.
