Thanks, I charged the battery this morning on a high amp charge and she held and I think I'll do a low amp over nigt. I'm going to buy compression release valves to help in the starting. The bike is very fast and handles great, only feel the big cracks and bumps in the road.

OK, OK, I will buy one!
Thanks for all of the information you guys so freely share.
I have been looking around for a long time and I have decided to get a Hardcore II.
The only concern I have left is this, I am 6'2" and I don't want to look like a circus bear on a bicycle on it.
Does anyone have any pictures on themselves on one of these bikes?
Get used to seeing my name on here. I will have questions galore!
Thanks,
Jamie

Jamie,
I am 6'3" and have no problem. The stock forward control is comfortable. The stock handlebar will put you in a nice comfortable upright riding postion. I changed my stock handlebar to a 30" drag bar with 6" pull back instead of the 12" pull back on the stock bar. I have to reach a little for it but it's tolerable. You will be happy with it and it's very roomy.

Jamie,
I'm 6'2" and kept the stock bars and controls. No problems at all, very comfortable ride with the parts that came with the kit.
Good Luck

Outstanding!
Thanks for the quick replies.
Is there anything else I should look out for?
Overall are you guys happy with the quality of the parts in the kits?

Very happy with the kit and it wasn't that difficult to build.

Everything fits very well. Only needed help to pull the bearing on the tranny shaft and shorten the sparkplug because I don't have the tools. Wiring and primary are very simple to do as well. The only headache I have had was to mount the rear wheel and it's because I don't have too much patience.

I have had a couple minor issues with mine that I have documented in posts here. But all have been addressed by the shop I bought the kit from. Other then that, so far it has been an easy build. The hard part is yet to be started. The only thing that really chapps my ass, is the way the rear wheel assembly is attached to the frame.... you can not get the everything lined up and not scratch or ding something,,,, But then again, I am doing this with a bike stand and not a rack. (I will lower the bike next time to aid in this part of the assembley) Other then that, I have enjoyed my assembly.

Punisher,
I did the same with mine putting on the rear tire. I just used a lot of 100mph tape around the edge of the pulley, fender struts and the frame near the axle, it helped a lot.

yep, and a sheet of bubble wrap taped to the frame should keep an already messed up pully from getting worse....

Hello Mike or Punisher,
We did you guys put your main control module that connect to the main wiring harness? Is behind the oil bag the only place for it? Thanks in advance. FATKAO

I am building a Hardcore II, early into it. I need your help on this one. I am installing the BDL drive, and I canot figure it out. The offset has me confused. The front pulley for the BDL just doesnt have the clearance for the belt, it goes on the shaft too far in and the belt hits the plate. This damn thing is driving me crazy, please someone help me through this one. I have the offset kit with the circular offset spacer that is one inch long and the two extensions that came with it. Someone please shoot the info. One other question, I want to put a springer front end on the bike, how do I figure out the exact numbers like rake, degree, etc. for the front end to run true?
I have looked everywhere, your help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks again,
Rock

Hello Rock, Couldn't help you with the front end question but I can give the BDL primary question a try:
The inner primary plate should mount very easily. You want to tighten the rear two bolts on the engine and don't tighten tranny bolts so you can line up the engine and tranny with the inner primary plate.
On the tranny, there is a bearing on the main shaft that needs to be pulled with a bearing extraction tool. Once the bearing is removed, you should be able to line up the inner primary plate fairly easily after you install the engine pulley spacer. (Don't forget the rubber gaskets, one on each side of the spacer)
Mike and Sapper have posted some answers as I recalled a few weeks back. They might cover the install in more details than I have written here. It's probably under "Hardcore II" tread install of "Hardcore II builder" tread.
Everything should fit very easily once the bearing is removed from the tranny.
Hope this helps. Now if I can figured out on how to tighten the engine pulley bolt without an air impact wrench then I will be golden.....

BigRock4545,
I would call Custom Chrome tech support. I only had two spacers for the front pulley. One was for stock application and the other was for offset trans. I have called CC tecks support and there are very helpful, they will talk you threw it.
I dont know anything about front ends other then installing them.
