Yea. There seemed to be a group (magicman, SapperLohr, mikemc, and you) that started together a few months ago.
CCI is shipping again and there seems to be a group of us starting out close together - hence...

I hear ya wdglide.
I have read the whole forum from the beginning. I have to say it was exciting at the beginning when those guys were all building at the same time.
I feel for Punisher who has had a lot of bad luck and is still building. I'm sure you will be on the road in a week or two.
However, I will keep posting as I progress and maybe we can all meet and ride at Daytona 2005.

Let me tell you, there are a lot of parts and little documentation. Thank God for this thread!
I'm working on the trees and races, there seems to be some confusion in this thread with regard to the plate that gets mounted to the bottom tree. Punisher's photos help. I almost mounted the trees upside down.
I hope the "old-dogs" stick around to help us newbies.

Do you guys think I'll have a problem if I do not seat the fork stops all the way during the mock-up? My thought is I can tape them off for the painter. Once its painted, I'll pound them home.
I just had a helluva time figuring out the trees. Here's a photo that might help others. ALSO, I picked up a set of seal drivers at Harbor Freight for $9.00.

Yes some of the items arent the same, but you will get the idea.
Also, is that I pic of your setup?? The upper tree looks like its been cut out.

you can drive them back out if you seat them. I used a large drift pin and mine popped out w/o a problem.

Not sure what you mean by cut out. There's another shot of the trees in my gallery.

wdglide, I had pounded mine in completely during mock up, I did not use the bearings at that time. I had also left them in as the painter was gonna tape off,,, he then changed his mind and pounded them out for me.
I just cleaned up the mess inside the neck, pounded the races into the cups ($18.00 at the local shop) and pounded them back into the neck.
Here is a pic of what Im talking about, it looks to be like a cut out. The pic in your gallery looks different.

Has anyone financed a HC II kit?? I don't want to refi the house. I just want a simple motorcycle loan. My Credit Union won't do it because it's not listed in the NADA book....
