Posted more pics of the bike. I put fluids in it today, re-torqued everything, and hooked up all the lines. The only things that I have to do are to secure all the lines, and find a riser platform to raise my bars off the tank enough to be able to remove the fuel cap......oops....snafu

No, my line length is okay. Thank God that I am such a dipstick, that I don't trust myself enough to cut anything until the last minute, or I would buying a new throttle cable, and I am BROKE.
I am thinking that maybe I will end up having to fabricate some sort of block or something to raise those damned trees, or just go to conventional pullback risers and bars........Oh well, I ll think of something.

Sapper, I think the bike looks just like the picture you posted before if not better, congrats.

The stock bars is probably the way to go and I think it makes the bike handle better and give it a more comfortable ride. The drag bar I put on is a 30.5" drag bar with stock risers and clamps. It is not interfering the gas nozzle and it's about $25. FATKAO

Hard Core II builders

Fatkao,

I like the look of your bars, I am considering drag bars, and they are super reasonably priced...

My concern was that I would be leaning forward too far and putting pressure on my palms like a sport bike...

You look pretty comfy with no reach to get to the bars on yours, but then you may also be 7' tall!

How tall are you? Sorry to get personal, but I want to have an idea of how I will be sitting with drag bars vs. the standard V bars that came with the kit...

Thanks!

Thanks Fatkao. I am going to go back to conventional risers, and drag bars-I went with 3" pullback, I guess I need something that shoots straight up. I ll get it tommorow, though, for now, I need sleep.

Later all.

Sapper and Milenko, My drag bar is 30.5" and 6" pull back. I have to stretch all the way out. I defintely wouldn't want to stretch out more than this, but I am also 40 years old and not quite as flexible as I used to. I am 6'3".

Magic, I had to hide your pictures from my wife because this is the kind of photos that could end my chopper building career... Where is rally again???? Just kidding. FATKAO

Its allways gotta be about size doesnt it boys.... Well,,, just wait till I get home and can measure mine up!!!

I dont have a clue as to how wide mine are, but I do have, if im not mistaken, 6" straight risers. and I can get the gas cap out, and the nozzle in, so I should be good.

Now if I can only get my shit back so I can start putting it together. DAMN I hate waiting!

Punisher

I am home now, and took out the tape measure. From tip to tip mine are 33" and my risers are 8"

I ordered it from http://lowridersbysummers.com/ becuase he's a member of another board I belong too. He sold it to me for 400 bucks over his cost. That was the best price I could find anywhere. It's taking me another week to get it but it's about 1000 bucks cheaper than anyone else.

Service/parts manual

Someone said they received a service/parts manual with their hardcore II. Unfortunately, I did not get one, and my understanding is that the service manual is some type of harley service manual that the distributor can opt to throw in if they choose. Since I will have to buy one of these, which harley service manual should I get?
