Sportster Jockey Shift Kit
i received your catalog a while back(thank you) and noticed the jockey shift kits coming soon. Do you perhaps have a time frame or ballpark figure what these will run?
By the way, I loved the write up in the new issue of Iron Works. I've been discussing the Wrecking Ball Chopper Kit with my father for my 88 XLCH. we love it. Will be in touch soon about the kit. I dont know what kind of operation you run, but do you mind people stopping by and talking with you in person and discussing a kit with you? Thanks for any help with the above. Everett |
xl jockey shifter kit
I don't have a firm time-line on the jockey shifters, we have run into some challenges farming out all the machine work. Once and if that is resolved we'll move forward. We will make it known to everyone when its' available. The price is still undetermined, but likely to be a max of $500 and as low as $300.
We are open by appointment only and we don't have a showroom, but we encourage folks to stop by if they want to see the an example of the Wrecking Ball or parts that we might have in stock. Thanks for the compliment on our article. It came out very nice. We worked with the editor over 6 months and unfortunately there were a couple of communications issue surrounding what is and is not included. Of course our website and catalog show the exact list of parts, but the article has led folks to believe that you buy the roller and just add an engine and that justs not the case. Thanks for your post and let me know if you have any other questions. Brent - Fusion Bike Works http://www.fusionbikeworks.com |
about the wrecking ball. Its not a drop the motor and run deal then? The article in Iron works sure made it sound that way tho huh? I'm seriously looking at it for my 77 ironhead. how can I get your catalog to check out the parts lists?
Drop me an email with info needed if you will. thanks rod |

im not sure if he still reads the forum or not. i dont know if he ever got the shifter done or not either.
from what i understand, apparently Custom Chrome bought him out i guess. all his parts are avail. thru them now. I THINK. the website went down and was redirecting everyone to Ebay for a while. now nothing. i havent picked up the new Custom Chrome either so i couldnt tell you if they have it. i'd still like to know. i want one. if u guys talk to em, post in here and let me know what you found out. thanks Everett |
I'm new here, I bought the frame from brent from the wrecking ball bike this past winter. When he had it, it was a paughco frame w/ 2 1/4 up and 40 degree rake, it also had 7degree perse trees w/ an 8 over fxst front end also had pre 84 fat bobs. Nothing to special or complicated about the build. I'd buy the parts seperate and do it yourself, you'll save a ton. Here is what that bike looks like now after I finished it this winter.

I was looking on the fusion site for the jockey shift kit. and could not find the direct link.
anyone know the URL of the page. I'm looking for a lnkage, not just a long shift lever on the the shift shaft. I saw one a few weeks back that looked like it mounted to the top rear clutch cover bolts. any help would be appreciated. I also have a Bonnie rigid that I'd like todo the same with. thx, PB |

thx. I saw their kit after I posted the question. Licks has a lot of cool stuff but its mucho $$$. Payin $400 smackers for a shift handle and a couple of brackets and rods is hard to swallow. I picked up a sweet Hurst shifter arm with a cool "6" ball shifter on ebay I'm tryin to rig up the brackets, but I need to find a place that sells the heim joints. Gonna try napa.
Thx for the reply/heads-up though phil |
