Chrome or powdercoat

Any tips on chroming the front end, where not to chrome, preparation etc

or powercoating would be good guys .

I have never had something chromed this big and the chromers over here just dont have the experience of chroming springer front ends.

Cheers

Springer Brakes

Seemed like a great idea to replace my teles with a set of springers but working out the braking is becoming a pain !!

Option 1) take a hit and buy a springer front disc set up

Option 2) Make my own brackets for a twin disc setup

Question ....what kind of bush/bearing will I need on the wheel spindle/brake bracket to allow the rockers to function properly !!

Bad karma

Well after some serious power problems that burnt out the motors on my lathe and my pillar still dont know why they burnt out !!!!

Illness and lack of work keep pushing me backwards .........but

so far i have cut up 3 mudguards = translation (fenders) seems to look ok now summers a comin so need to git a move on

I need a fixed to the frame fender as I carry a tent and doss bag to runs as it would be easier to fit one to the swingarm but need the carrying capacity

Getting on track

If any of you guys have a springer single brake or double brake + brackets for sale ........fire a PM

Up to you, but I really like the look of having the fixed fork painted the same as the base color of the bike and have only the floating (sprung) fork chromed. It would cost less and the shipping cost to the plater would be less as well.

It is commonly done, you should have no trouble finding nice examples, just do not forget to chrome the springs, cap nuts, washers etc. as well..

Looking good

Well reversed the springer rockers got 2 inches more ground clearance and got a delivery from the Usa .....

Apes feel real good .......

Next item to source are some springer fender mounts for my 10 inch over

and the front end goes away today to have some double disc brake mounts made.

All coming together slowly ........

Before I buy any of these things

has anyone got any they wanna sell .........
