I have the issue that was in. But even back then I just couldnt get into his style, and even less now if thats possible.

I like it but out of my reach.

When I started building bikes in 90's. These smooth molded , almost aerodynamic styles were appealing to me. Then I saw how it,s done - body work, plastic, etc.

It almost felt like artificial beauty of a woman who wears too much make up.

My taste gradually gravitated to ruggedly mechanical , industrial esthetics , designs.

I almost regretfully paint ( about to) my bikes...i love metal, welds, machined surfaces.
I love the look of exposed mechanisms and hardware.

Can,t expect everybody be like me, but I feel I,m in a minority.

But than again, it would be boring to see just my type of bikes, and we wouldn,t be laughing if it wasn,t for OCC monuments which are , I must admit , entertaining.

STEINBVG, I'm kinda like you in a way!
I painted my bike with Rustoleum in my garage and caught all types of hell from some of my buddies who have mega-dollar paint jobs. One of them who gave me the hardest time paid $1500.-- for his paint and always crowed about it!
He changed some parts on his bike and Oppps, scratched the paint with a screwdriver!
Oh, the weeping and wailing!!
My bike gets scratched and chipped, oh well, $5.-- at the box store and she's all pretty again!
