Suckerpunch Sally Ripoffs - BUYER BEWARE

Suckerpunch Sallys, owned by Gerie Clayton, Foreman is Steve Phillips. The company has over $3Million in lawsuit judgments against them since 2010, and $300,000 in 2012 alone.

Several people (myself included) paid over $20,000 for bikes, and never received them. I have receipts, legal records, and phone records with the Scottsdale, AZ police department to prove this.

Lesson Learned: Always look up Civil Case Records in the county that a prospective chopper vendor does business. Suckerpunch Sallys was once a reputable, award winning shop that was ruined by new owners.

Do NOT try to buy any products from this company; they have been responding to email inquiries as if they are still in business. I have confirmation from a AZ police officer the lights in their shop are out, and rent is way past due.

SPS might now be shit, but their bikes(I guess when they were delivering them) had style - except for the ones where they used revtech engines of course. They just cost damn too much brand new.

Sorry to hear what happened to you and others. I could never afford them new, so I tracked down used ones to buy. Had on '08 awhile back that was a blast to ride. I currently have an '07 SPS in the garage. Waiting for better riding weather, or an offer to take it off my hands, as I'm in the process of doing a build and need to help fund it.

I just can never understand how a person can in good conscious, simply take a large amount of money like that from someone, knowing how long the average joe has to work to make that money and how long we have to save and go without other things in our lives to be able to save that much.I couldn't do it, my conscious would tear me up. Is this considered a criminal offense or is it all just civil? Are these said people looking at jail time? With the way the law is, you just don't know, it seems people get locked anymore for the weakest crimes, but the stuff like this that really hurts and affects others, goes unpunished. I guess the lesson in all this is, don't give anybody all the money upfront, I hate to say it but if it was me I think I only would've been willing to give the bike builder a partial deposit, and I wouldn't have paid them anymore until the bike was in my possession. But like they say, karma's a bitch and what comes around goes around, and eventually these motherfuckers will get what they got coming.

Please clarify for me -

A person hears about a bike builder. Decides to buy one.
Then that person sends $20K? Based on what - a sketch? - a pic of
a similar bike? I have never heard of this. If i buy a vehicle - I go to the
dealer and test drive and then buy that vehicle. Where is the disconnect?
I do understand the concept of a deposit. That should be $500.
OP comes to CC after the event? Why not research a little - join the site -
ask questions?

On a custom build you figure a deposit of $500 is good?

I dont build bikes for people, but I do build vehicles, and we straight up take half on anything over $1000. I wouldnt touch a job that they wont do that.

I'm not by any means saying that its all right what happened, just that you dont quite have it right.

The name itself is funny: Sucker punch...Freud might have a problem ordering a bike from somebody with the name like that...
Sorry about the loss, it's a shameful business sometimes.
