Mako - Major props to you dude for taking the route of restoration
They are faking peeps today with qualities of modern cars.
Steering wheel and gas and even brakes gotta go check with the
computer to find out if they should do what you want. You can feel
the difference.

Thanks Roger, spent most of my day today working on the restoration, got the front end toe aligned, adjusted the e-brake slack, did some fiberglass work, and CLEANED UP MY SHOP...!

I'll be putting up more photos as things come together..

Kevin, every time I look at this link I fall more in love with your garage..It is just so right for this project...assuming lighting and head room isn't a problem. I could live there.

Thanks Bob, wish I knew you better, you seem to be a real nice guy. I have to get pretty close to the walls before the head banging starts but it suits my need pretty well. Will be spending all tomorrow there (garage), hopefully I can put up a few more photos.

Made a little progress today...

Started fitting the headlight buckets today, started with this..

Finished like this, replaced rivets, broken mounts, and screws.

Both sides repaired, fitted, and ready for dis-assembly.

Dash mirror came out pretty good, may need to re-chrome the stem.

Freshly restored Carter WCFB 3900S Carb ready for use.

Carter WCFB (another view)

Original windshield restored, polished and assembled with new rubber seal (VERY dificult if you've never tried this)

Starting to get my upholstery together.

Another shot of stuff stored in the guest bedroom.

Enjoy..

Not too much more to show, but I got a little done on some of the interior parts..

Old drivers side seat coils

Passenger seat bottom

Drivers side seat coils hog-ring'd in place

I chose not to sand blast the seat coils, not sure why...

Drivers door panel almost finished.

Passenger side. I re-used the original S trim and lever moldings on both panels, (everything else was trashed) but the stainless came back really well. Used a wooden roller to smoothe out the crimping on the panel insert after the photos were taken, the panels didn't fit exactly, but with a little masaging they turned out real nice.

Instrument cluster comming along pretty well, cleaned up and polished the gauge cluster bezels and replaced the speedometer bezel with new. Also replaced all of the lenses with GM NOS. Need to take it all back apart now and get the housing painted and finished out before final assembly.

Enjoy
