Not Ranked
Supercharged 6.2 big block against a naturally aspirated 302 is not even fair.
Put that ZL1 against a 2013 GT500 pumpin 650 horse
Im a ford fan Pitbull, never owned a chebby...
440 out of that coyote motor is more impressive to me.

no problem foggdog.... we all got faults.....if you watch the video on the road course agin..it stated the camaro wasnt that much ahead of the ford due to HP...it just out handled it,,& out stoped it... the extra power is there cause the camaro is a little heavy.... I know ford is comming out with a high HP mustang this yr.. but give it to chevy for a late model drag car.... I got a 23 ford tbucket.... does that make you feel better??..... but its all chevy running gear........ chevy is the heart beat....
wait ford made the best car... 33 ford & carroll shelby(rip) made the cobra.... & not the mustang.... I think those are the best fords ever made....
Camaro for a drag car? You know as of last year, you could go to the parts counter at Ford and buy a complete Mustang set-up for drag racing. It isn't even street legal, so you get no title or vin number.
I don't know all the details, but it sounds like GM is playing catch-up on this one...again.
the copo is the same not a street car.... but its turn key......... thay built it for a super stock nhra class...I'm not saying its cheeper.. just that the mfg is getting involved... building factory drag cars agin... thay do have street versions to..just not the copo
The supercharged 5.3 is targeted for AA/SS (Super Stock) competition pending approval.
The 427 will be the (stock eliminator) option.
And this has a four link set up on it and it's a COPO car.
So if you get one you can hit all the stock suspension classes with a true racing four link and be legal because that's the way it came from the factory
I was on an email list from GM, for interested buyers,......before they verified that they were actually going through with the program. Kept sending me surveys, asking if I had a drag license, what motor comboi I'd be interested in, etc,......etc,.....
ok so lets have our own car shoot out. I own a ford and like mopars but chubbys have their place so I like the three.
So Lets say all three cars (Camaro, Mustang, Challenger) go head to head what do you all think will win? Motors have to be close (Chevys 350, Fords 331, Dodge's 360)
REMINDER NOTICE - PLEASE BE SURE TO RESPOND BY THIS FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 10, 2012*************
Thank you for your interest in the COPO Camaro Concept. We are extremely pleased with the positive feedback received from this exciting concept and our engineers have continued their work in the hopes that it could become a production race vehicle in the very near future.
We are sending this email for research purposes to gain further information about your specific interest level in the COPO Camaro program, as well as to collect detailed information about how potential customers would like these race vehicles configured.
At this point, GM has not decided whether or not to actually produce this vehicle. If produced, availability will be very limited. The vehicle would not be street legal and you would not be able to register the vehicle or drive it on public roads. This is not a vehicle order, and does not assure you that GM would build the vehicle or that you would receive one if built.
Please click on the following link to complete a short questionnaire. This will help us determine your purchase interest of the COPO Camaro, if it were to become available –
frank thats pretty good times..I'd like to see that 427...I bet that will really set a good time..& think this is before any wrenching.... I think that new camaro is gona supprise alot of people.. all 3 mfgs have a good product.. but for now I bet that copo will over all be a good hot rod..if you want it streetable.... start with 1 of the other camaros...
