I will be going to BF4 for sure. I am riding from North County San Diego. I am sure there will be a meeting spot somewhere to ride up together, but haven't heard anything yet.

Looking to make a weekend out of it. Born Free on Saturday and Rip's Bad Ride on Sunday. Should have the bobber ready by then. Looking to bring both bikes for the bike show on Sunday.

If you're interested we can probably link up and ride down together.

Golfish...you in???

That might work out, Steve. Denise is off that weekend. I tell ya, I'd really like to go down and stay around Julian for a few days and ride around there, its a great place to ride around.

Julian has to be about 100 miles from Oak Canyon Ranch?

Does anyone know what the parking situation is like at born free? Do they have a bike show to enter?

I like entering the bike shows so I can park inside the show and keep an eye on my shit. I dont feel comfortable leaving my bike unattended while I go in the show.

bike parking is much easier than car parking. it's a little bitty 2 lane road to get in there, and gets rather crowded at the entrance.

last year if you went just past the entrance there's a service road on the left, they opened the gate there and there's a HUGE grassy area that they opened up for bike parking. there was also bike parking inside the event too.

if you bring a car or truck, there's a huge dirt area next to the lake...it's the next road on the left past the service road (for the bike parking) but then you have to hike back to the event.

the show is in the same place as the Hootenanny & RIP's bad ride.

OK ROLL CALL. Who's riding down? Who's going to drive there?

My plan, I'm riding the sportster down but I'm riding solo because I'm still shaking it down. I dont want to hold up anyone in a group.

Icon, I saw your bike on CL, and now your bike info shows as sold. Do you have anything else to ride? still heading to the show?

No, Denise decided to work this weekend so I will be Mr Mom.....I couldn't walk for very long anyways..I've had back problems for 15+ years, this is by far the worse it has ever been.

The show was amazing.....it get's bigger and bigger every year.

Great weather too....it was hot, but not too hot, and a nice breeze. Next year we're buying a vendor space and turning it into a lounge so we can sit in the shade
