we are ALL entitled to our opinions. perhaps i should have been in debate club or something as a kid... i just feel like i must never get my point across because someone always picks at something in my argument and the thing i feel so deeply about is missed. maybe i never learned how to voice my opinion properly, because its always misconstrued or missed entirely.

thats why i avoid debating. i feel like its pointless. especially online.

i give up. i should stop while i'm ahead.

You should never give up. If it is your opinion and you believe in it, fight for it. I countered your opinion with mine. That is how it works, it is how a middle ground is found, how things get done. I do agree with the online debate being a hard thing to do.

I don't think the USA is perfect, but a shit-hole to me is a little strong of a statement. IMO.
