What, no Palin/Biden debate thread?

I'm surprised. Just saying.

I enjoyed it. They both made good points at times.

You could tell Palin was nervous at first, but as the debate wore on she started loosening up. At one point she was even leaning her elbow on the podium.

Biden tried to pigeon hole her a couple of times and it backfired. That was fun to watch.

I thought she did better than most people expected.

Skillfully avoided questions she wasn't comfortable with, and then she hit hard, with the facts she knew would help get her points across.

Driving home the fact that Biden used to be against many of Obama's ideas, and now has flip flopped to back him.

Also bagging Biden for continually referring to Bush's last eight years instead of sticking to the moderator's questions about the present and the future.

The best was her admitting to not being used to Washington politicians who continually say one thing and do another, or say something to one group of people, and change their position in front of a different group of people.

I'll just say, I don't know if this debate helped McCain's chances, but I don't think it hurt him at all.

How about both of them agreeing on being against gay marriage?

I thought I heard Barney Frank choke on his sausage sandwich from my house.

LMAO!!! You've got that right.

She seemed real, unlike Biden who tried the Washington double speak early but quickly realized it wasn't going to fly. Biden, on the other hand, impressed me with his ability to think on his feet.

Palin was better when she directly called Biden out on improper facts and baseless claims. A couple of times though when she tried to deflect a question she seemed uncomfortable and the answer seemed awkward and forced.

i think the both of them are better candidates than their running mates...

palin i have to give it to her...she did not fall on her face like most thought she would...

biden...well...he didn;t screw up and say he had an ugly wife...

the only reason i say palin is because she kept up...did not let biden scare her...and is specsy...

actually i have to agree to a point with biden on the history of what;s going on...

if we don;t learn from our history we are bound to repeat it right...

but he did seem to try to tie mccain to bush...which is exactly what i would do if i was him...

we have to look back...not only at bush but also the presidents before him...but i think she said that...

Biden with 35+ years of debate vs Palin with 2. She cleaned the floor with him.

But all in all it's not looking good for McCain at this point.

If Obama wins do we get to chose the communal farm we go to or does the government just send us there? He's better than Karl Marx when it comes to socialism.

In the weeks leading up to this thing, the media had been after her and I started to think that maybe Sarah was setting them up for a fall. Looks like I was right. She's been playing it close and quiet --just like a good hunter, and that debate was the kill shot. She looks competent enough to do the job.

Meanwhile old Hillary is $10 million in debt and making a second round among her supporters for more contributions to bail her broke ass out. Yeah... she would've been a great president, huh? Real empowering for women, blah blah blah... She should be homeless for being such a stupid useless fuckup.

I also thought with Biden's 30 plus years that he would have had a field day with her. However, she steamrolled him a few times and he got the message, this lady isn't going to lay down for me. When she called him out on his lies and flip flop politics, all he could do was show off the dentures and give that un-easy smile, he never called her out like I thought he would have done. He spent too much time on the past and even then Palin called him on that too.

I also liked the way Palin mentioned Biden comment(s) about Obama before he was asked to join the ticket, like Obama for President would be tragic mistake...........lol Biden looked a little un-easy......lol

Palin held her own. Biden made some very good points and has some insight into what things need to change. I just don't think his partner is worth a piece of shit or any of his policies.
