See, I had never seen J Geils before. 2000 was my first time seein Skynyrd too.

I'm guessing Skynyrd in 2000 was probably somewhat of a disappointment?

No...Actually..ZZ was a disappointment!!!



Rossington, powell, Wilkenson, and I'm 99% sure Artimus.


Collins, R.VZ, and Gains were missing. but most of the band was in tact...and fucking fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dam man, I used to have stubs from back in the '60s I went to. Evil fucking sob stepparents threw them out and wouldnt let me have em back. Killing and torture comes to mind.

I'm not in that bad of shape...but all my pics and memorabilia from the late 80's through the late 90's are destroyed.

I did see Nugent when he was with the Amboy Dukes way back when at the Warwick Musical. Was the show you went to in 1994? I'm not sure I made it to that one.
I did see ZZ TOP at the Civic Center along with The Black Crowes. That was a very good show--but it was funny because I had never heard of the Crowes before that.
I made it to almost every rock show they had at the "Tent" because I was always able to get front row seats in the balcony for any show. Nice having no one in front of you.
J Geils had a reputation early in their time for being a top blues band--getting raves from lots of older black blues guys. But I never had a chance to hear them live. Supposedly, their albums never matched up to the live blues performances they'd do.

I never heard that. Never really thought of them as a blues band.
