a friend went down

Buddy of mine went down on his bagger on thurs. night. He broke his leg, finger, and a few ribs. He is sore but ok. I wasnt there when it happened and he was sober. He told me his, I think 08 ultra was giving him a little wobble up front. This has been going on for a few weeks. (I know he shoulda taken it in right away). He was going into a corner at around fifty when the front end started to wobble and he couldnt recover. My question is I thought I had read about the flh having some issue with a front end wobble. This has been a year or more since I read this but anybody remember anything about this?

Mine started to go into a death wobble on Thursday but I caught it quick enough to get her back under control, first time it did it to me. I was on I-4 running about 90mph in the left lane (2 to the right of me) passing two 18 wheelers and must of had to many things going against me, road was cupped, wind from the left and turbulence to the right. All of a sudden out of nowhere the front end starts to go, a bit back and forth at first and grew to a full side to side pull, the harder I tried to stop it the worse it got. I loosened my grip and opened the throttle and it settled down... not a good feeling at all. Like I said just too many thing working against me all at once... not my time yet though...

That's exactly what I though, I said to myself "Self, time to slow down some".

I like to ride around 75 on the hi-ways, when you start pushing it past there without a windshield the wind just beats the shit outta ya anyway and it's not a fun ride at that point.... but when you got somewhere to be and are running late, that's when thing sneak up and bite ya...

thanks. I knew I had read something on this at one point. It doesnt look like there was any widespread problems though. I guess I dont really know where to go from here. does he let harley look at the bike or does he get an someone independent look at it?

Wow this is weird, just got the new issue of American Iron today and right there on the cover it reads: BAGGER WOBBLE? Klocks Bolt-On Quick Fix. Sorry to hear about your friend Lewd. Is he going after HD, sounds like maybe a recall is in order.

I dont know if he is gonna go after hd or not. dont even know if it was a defect or just a bad tire at this point. I guess I was just trying to gather some info for the guy. suppose I should check out american iron though.
