Got stung while out riding yesterday

Riding thru Parkville, KS on the way into KC to go visit Cafe Racer and see how the engine rebuild on my GSXR is going. Damn wasp or bee flew right into my neck and got me, felt like I got zapped w/ a live wire for a split second. Been riding for 16 years and while I had a honeybee fly into my helmet one time (full face), I've never been stung while riding. Had to pull over to see what hit me, could see the sting site starting to swell up slightly. Don't think I'm allergic, so waited a few minutes and then went down the road to a local gas station to fill up (which I was planning on anyway). Damn thing is all swollen, hot and itchy this morning. Made it worse is I was wearing a collar-less perforated jacket yesterday because of the heat and humidity and the damn collar seam kept flapping back and forth onto where I got stung. That just felt soooooooooooo good. Sitting here w/ an ice pack on it as I drink my coffee.

When I was riding with Raul and his friends a few weeks back Raul's buddy took a bee to the face just below his glasses. By the time we stopped at the HD dealer for their bike he looked like he took a solid punch to the eye. Everyone kept asking him who he got in a fight with...........LOL

I was like WTF!!! what happend was that she had her visor up an a bee got in her helmet and stung her bellow her eye... Everything was ok after that, she was swallen, but the funny thing was seeing her hitting my friend on the bike jejeje.

Mix up a paste out of Arm and hammer bakin soda and put it on it. Tobacco juice is good too. A shot of tequila is good. Fuck it a shot of anything is good. Wont help sting but you wont give a shit in a little while. If you get hit by some yellow jackets you will sure as hell know it.

Dude...........been there.............and GOT stung. About an inch away from the nutsack. Happened about 10 years ago on my FXSTC, talk about some "pain". Good thing is, I'm not allergic to bee/wasp stings.

Still wear shorts ALOT while riding, although I do wear "bike shorts" under my regular shorts now!......................at least there a little sheild there.

a buddy of mine _IS_ allergic to bees. guess what - got stung deep in mexico while taking the 9 month motorcycle trip to the tip of Argentina. Started swelling up real bad, luckily a drunken retired firefighter from U.S. was near by - saw him and helped him get to a hospital. he still went on to finish the trip after that...

After 24hrs, this thing is a little swollen, but spreading out slowly. Need to take some ibuprofen and stick some more ice on it. Get the feeling it was a wasp and not a bee. Mowed over a nest of them while living in AL, oldest son told his mom that dad's in the front yard doing a funny dance. Got hit 8-9 times, 3 times in the palm of my hand and the rest on my calves. That was a painful and significantly emotional experience.
