I agree .....but taking thinks to heart can only work so many times ...after a while its a cop out....... it goes around and around with different members...same thing.....time for rick to step up on his own...dont need any goodbuys walk away or act like nothing happened

Rick, Maybe not everybody on here agrees with things you say or do.But damn if they did wouldnt that pretty much suck and take the fun out of life?
Some of us are on here to relax and have a good time. Some are here only for helping and getting help from others about their bikes. But thats why they have different parts of this site. The longe is to relax and have a good time with friends. The other part is for technical stuff.I cant see you leaving just because some people dont agree with the way you are.I dont agree with everything people say on here all the time either and today I may have lost the respect of someone I thought of as a friend, but sometimes shit happens. Not much you can do but back up and punt. This post may not make much sense but its my thoughts and I hope you decide to stay and share your thoughts with us.If not then I will say I have enjoyed your time on here and thanks for everything
Craig

i think this is my cue to go buy some flowers, learn a love song, and serenade rick in a public place. wait, am i supposed to be running along a departing train right now, or a cruise ship? is rick about to marry that other guy, the one who really doesn't love him? how come i hear an '80s ballad building in the background?

sorry guys, but this is my farewell, too. i'm going to chase down my buddy, bring him back to CC. gotta go.

i guess i'm supposed to do that here. ok, here goes:

rick, you light up my life, and you give me warmth. not in a gay ballad kind of way, but your jokes are good, and you exude a genuine kindness to those close to you in fun times. even in rough times, you have a good sense of loyalty to buds.

i understand you were frustrated by my posts, and calling jay into the spotlight where i sensed unanswered questions, but i felt that i could do so without offending you, if only you let another man handle his own business. unfortunately, that man posted "i'll just answer selected, vague questions of my choosing, and let you all (mainly rick, it seemed) duke it out on my behalf after that." and you, loyal and generous friend that you are, stepped up to do just that.

for the first time i can remember, you viciously hounded me in a thread. i'd seen you do it to others, but it had never been pointed to me. i did not cold cock you or unload on you all at once. in fact, as it escalated and ramped up, i implored you to let it ride.

i've had some friends that get that way after drinking. no matter how much you like them, nobody really expects that someone should turn the other cheek but so much while someone goes on a tirade. so i stood up, though not being particularly nasty or belittling. certainly not as much as either one of us have been to others.

like you, i see no need for apology. we're men, and that's just how it goes. i'm sorry you see this as the only acceptable solution to the predicament you feel, but i won't beg you to see it differently. just know that i still respect the man you are, and you will be welcomed back graciously whenever you decide to return. i hold no grudges, i still will treat you the same way i always have.

until then, get your bike running and titled, have fun and be careful. you're gonna be a grandaddy now, and you've got to teach the next generation all about cocoa butter, and zirconia-encrusted cutlery, and freaky tattoos, and squirrel threat management, and...

(help me out, guys)

No temper tantrum, maybe a little drama, but thanks to some members here (not you tail ), I realized that I'm bigger then all that.

And yes Sal, I do take things to heart probably too much, not a cop out, just the way I am. Hard to teach an old dog new tricks. But yeah, I guess I do need to "step up" and "get a grip". Your the best Sal, I don't care what Frank says about you!!!
